Full Job Description

The Company: Ilant Health is an obesity treatment and metabolic health company. We are increasing access, reducing cost, and improving outcomes of weight loss treatments as the single front door for individuals with obesity, delivering end-to-end evidence-based solutions through a technology-enabled and analytics-driven obesity medicine practice. We focus on engaging members through peer coaches and using clinical data to pair individuals with the right treatment and care coordination enabling care through insured value-based care models.

The Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our collaborative weight loss obesity medicine company. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive psychological assessments, counseling, and support to patients seeking weight loss, including those considering bariatric surgery or utilizing medications. The candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to address the psychological factors associated with obesity and facilitate patients' emotional well-being throughout their weight loss journey.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough psychological assessments to evaluate patients' suitability for bariatric surgery and assess psychological factors contributing to obesity
Provide evidence-based counseling and behavioral interventions to address emotional, behavioral, and psychological aspects of weight management
Collaborate closely with physicians, surgeons, nutritionists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated and comprehensive approach to patient care
Assist patients in developing effective coping strategies, stress management techniques, and behavior modification skills to facilitate long-term weight management
Conduct individual and group therapy sessions tailored to meet patients' specific needs and treatment goals
Provide education and guidance to patients regarding psychological aspects of weight management, including motivation, self-monitoring, and relapse prevention
Administer and interpret psychological assessments to inform treatment planning and evaluate treatment outcomes
Document patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and in a timely manner
Adhere to all legal and ethical standards in patient care

Qualifications:

LCSW degree from an accredited institution
Valid and active license as a clinical social worker, additional state licenses a plus
Specialization or experience in performing psychological evaluations for bariatric surgery clearance and working with clients who have obesity
Proficient in conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and interpreting assessment results
Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities and interventions for weight management, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing
Experience in providing counseling and therapy to individuals and groups with obesity or weight management concerns
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with patients
Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on emerging trends and research in clinical psychology and obesity management

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
