Full Job Description

Job Summary:

We seek a highly organized and detail-oriented EXPERIENCED Surgical Coordinator to join our team. The practice is located in Wyomissing, PA. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support eye surgeons in delivering exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patient population. The successful candidate will find this role highly rewarding, possessing a strong background in healthcare, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Provide a warm, welcoming, and positive experience at our office.
Have a keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask with ease.
Coordinate patient appointments, surgeries, and postoperative plans.
Verify patient insurance and obtain prior authorizations.
Manage patient files and ensure all records are up-to-date and pertinent information is recorded.
Have comfort in using computerized systems to manage patient data and track appointments. MODMED experience highly preferred.
Provide exceptional, compassionate, and empathetic service to patients and families.
Interface with and collaborate with ASCs to ensure an optimal experience for patients, providers, and the clinical team.

To be a good fit for this role

Experience with electronic medical records systems and computerized systems.
Experience supporting a high-volume, preferably an ophthalmologist's practice, with multiple moving pieces.
Ability to deliver a high-level customer service experience while displaying practical communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deliverables.
