Full Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking and food production, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating a variety of baked goods, ensuring high-quality standards, and providing excellent customer service. This role focuses primarily on pastries and dessert preparation and baking. This role requires creativity, dedication, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Pay includes tips split evenly from the cafe's normal operation.

Duties

Prepare and bake a wide range of products, including cakes, pastries, and cookies.
Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies; assist with ordering as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety standards.
Package baked goods for display or catering orders while ensuring quality presentation.
Collaborate with team members to fulfill catering orders and special requests from customers.
Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers and addressing their needs.

Skills

Proficient in baking techniques and culinary skills.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
