Urgent Hiring: Caregivers in North County San Diego

Pay: $19.00–$22.00 per hour
Location: Escondido and surrounding North County San Diego areas
Shift Lengths: 4–12 hours
Schedule: Day, evening, overnight, weekday, and weekend shifts available

Job Description

FirstLight Home Care is urgently hiring compassionate and dependable caregivers for clients in Escondido and surrounding North County San Diego communities.

We have immediate opportunities with shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours. Part-time and full-time schedules are available, including daytime, evening, overnight, weekday, and weekend assignments.

You do not need to be available for every shift. We match qualified caregivers with assignments based on their location, experience, availability, and the needs of each client.

Available Schedules

Day, evening, and overnight shifts
Shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours
Weekday and weekend assignments
Part-time and full-time opportunities
Opportunities for additional hours

Please Apply If You Have

At least one year of professional caregiving experience
Experience providing hands-on personal care
Reliable transportation
A valid California driver’s license and current auto insurance
California Home Care Aide registration or the ability to obtain it
Dependable attendance
Strong communication skills
A compassionate and professional attitude

Experience with dementia care, mobility assistance, transfers, and personal care is strongly preferred for certain assignments.

Caregiver Responsibilities

Depending on the client’s care plan, responsibilities may include:

Assisting with bathing, grooming, and dressing
Toileting and incontinence care
Dementia redirection and reassurance
Transfers and mobility assistance
Fall-prevention and standby assistance
Meal preparation and feeding assistance
Medication reminders
Companionship and activities
Light housekeeping and laundry
Documenting care and reporting changes in a client’s condition

Caregivers must be able to perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Duties may include assisting with mobility, standing, bending, and safely assisting with up to 25 pounds.

Pay and Benefits

$19.00–$22.00 per hour DOE
Pay within the posted range is based on experience, qualifications, schedule, and client assignment
