Position Summary:
The Compounder is a vital role within Lucta, Flavors & Fragrances, responsible for the
precise measurement, mixing, and compounding of ingredients to create high-quality
flavor and fragrance products in a food manufacturing setting. This position requires a
deep understanding of food formulation processes, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The Compounder will work collaboratively with production teams to ensure efficient operations while maintaining product integrity and consistency.
In this role, you will be expected to execute batch processes as outlined in production
schedules, utilizing specialized mixing and compounding equipment. You will monitor the entire production process, from ingredient preparation to final product inspection,
ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company standards. Your contributions will
directly impact product quality and customer satisfaction, making your role essential in
delivering safe and innovative flavor solutions.
Additionally, you will participate in continuous improvement initiatives, providing feedback on processes and suggesting enhancements to optimize efficiency and quality. A strong commitment to safety, quality assurance, and teamwork will be crucial for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:

Mixing and Compounding: Accurately measure and mix raw materials according to
established formulas and batch sizes. Operate various mixing equipment, ensuring
precise ingredient proportions and uniform blending.

Quality Control: Conduct in-process checks to verify that all products meet quality
specifications. Perform final product inspections to ensure adherence to company
and regulatory standards.

Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain mixing and compounding
equipment. Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of equipment to ensure a safe
and hygienic work environment.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including
ingredient usage, batch numbers, and quality control results. Document any
deviations from established processes and report them to management.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures. Participate in
safety training and contribute to a culture of safety within the workplace.

Collaboration: Work closely with team members and supervisors to optimize
production processes and resolve any issues that may arise during operations.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; further education in food science or related field
is a plus.

Previous experience in a food manufacturing or compounding environment
preferred.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.

Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality control standards.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally must lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee will regularly work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
