Full Job Description

RECK CAREGIVING LLC is an adult foster care home looking for full time caregivers for behavioral adult DD males. *** The current shift is for part time- Friday to Sunday 8am-6pm, but training will be Monday-Thursday 8-6 for two weeks. Overtime opportunities are common.

This is a residential home and a very relaxed environment. Our goal is to create a home space where the clients and staff feel welcome.

Clients and role:

These clients are funny, love to play video games, board games, Magic, would absolutely enjoy a day of arts of crafts, taking their R.C. cars out to the park, they love dogs, bike riding, playing tennis…basically, would you have a good time hanging out with them all day?

Daily responsibilities include direct supervision of the clients, accompanying them at appointments and supporting them with their behavioral needs in a casual living environment all while able to participate in all the things mentioned above!

Company Culture:

We foster an environment of fun and education and truly focus on communication. This has resulted in our ability to be proactive with our residents in a way that has maintained very few behaviors in over 5 years. We work together to make sure that all staff knows what has happened in the shift prior and have meetings to stay on top of any concerns.

We encourage our staff to be creative and assist with the activity planning so that all are involved. At the end of the day, this is their home and we want it to feel like home to them - our residents are treated like "normal dudes" and this is how we're able to keep them full of joy.

Here are some basic requirements for the role and who will be a good candidate:
* Required - 2 years experience with at least one behavioral DD individual
* Must be able to undergo a background check (no felony or substantiated reports of abuse)
* A basic training test will be administered by the Lane County DD office to those who are being considered. We will provide practice material to study for this quick and easy test.
* A Driver’s License is required - a company vehicle is provided for transportation of clients.

* Current CPR and O.I.S. training are a definite plus!
* A positive attitude and ability to adapt quickly to the day as their needs see fit.

Pay will be $16 per hour

Job Type: Full-time
