Full Job Description

This position is for a dispensary to manage vendor payments, invoices , receive merchandise and pay vendor per order, payroll for staff . The position will also include bookkeeping, simple tax preparation and other office help.

The hourly pay rate is dependent on experience and training needs on how to work with the unusual industry requirements

Applicants should be a self-starter, strong in-person and over the phone communication skills, ability to work independently as well as with others. Show an initiative, strong work ethics, accuracy, organization, a willingness to learn, and comfortable working with invoicing and filing as much as possible.

Experience in payroll process, preparation, quarterly and annual reporting, and payroll law is required. Prior work experience with a tax firm or payroll provider is ideal.

Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Payroll for 10-15 employees including payroll taxes, quarterly/annual reports, W-2s, 1099s
Monthly reconciliation of accounts
Monthly and quarterly reporting to the Executive Director and Owner
Financial analysis support for Executive Director
Tracking restricted income and expenses
Data support regarding POS tracking and correspondence
Corporate tracking and reconciliation
Festival and other special event support and reporting
Become acquainted with responsibilities of other staff and support their work as needed
Ask for and expect reciprocal support from other team members

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Sincere belief in the mission and future of the cannabis industry
Outstanding interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude and excellent communication
Must have a high level of QuickBooks Desktop knowledge
Expertise in generating reports within QuickBooks
Experience with Excel, Word, Google Drive, and ability to learn new programs (Little Green Light)
Strong organizational skills, experience tracking multiple deadlines at once and the ability to problem-solve and ask for help when needed
Able to work both independently and as part of a team

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Must have experience with QuickBooks accounting
Experience working with a dispensary must have a workers permit
