What You'll Do

As an Assistant Property Manager, you'll help oversee a portfolio of residential properties while working closely with our Property Managers, Maintenance Technicians, Leasing Team, and Operations leadership.

Your responsibilities will include:

Own maintenance requests from start to finish, ensuring residents receive timely communication and quality service.
Coordinate unit turns to minimize vacancy and prepare apartments for new residents as efficiently as possible.
Communicate professionally with residents, owners, vendors, and teammates.
Monitor open work orders and follow through until every issue is resolved.
Coordinate move-ins, move-outs, inspections, and day-to-day property operations.
Work closely with our in-house maintenance team and outside vendors to keep projects on schedule.
Maintain organized records, reports, and documentation.
Assist with onboarding new properties into the management portfolio.
Occasionally visit properties throughout Chicago for inspections and project oversight.
Participate in periodic after-hours maintenance coordination on a rotating basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Property management experience preferred, but not required for exceptional candidates with strong organizational or customer service experience.
Experience coordinating residential maintenance or renovations is a plus.
Familiarity with Buildium, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Asana, or similar software.
College degree preferred, but not required.

$50,000–$58,000 annual salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Work Arrangement

This position is fully in-office during the initial 90-day training and onboarding period. Following successful completion of the introductory period, employees may become eligible for one remote workday per week, subject to performance, business needs, and management approval. This benefit is not guaranteed and may be modified or discontinued at management's discretion.
