Gregco Roofing & Construction is a growing Wyoming and Utah contractor specializing in roofing, concrete, insurance restoration, remodeling, and new construction. We are looking for a dependable person who wants more than a temporary labor position and is willing to develop into a skilled tradesperson and future crew leader.
Position Summary
The Roofing & Concrete Laborer will assist our crews with residential and commercial roofing, concrete, and general construction projects. The right candidate will work safely, follow instructions, take pride in quality work, and remain dependable in physically demanding outdoor conditions.
This position begins with base pay based on experience. Employees who demonstrate reliability, productivity, craftsmanship, leadership, and a willingness to learn can earn pay increases and advance into positions such as Skilled Laborer, Installer, Crew Lead, or Foreman. Advancement is based on demonstrated performance and responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Assist with roofing tear-offs, installations, repairs, and job-site preparation.
- Work with asphalt shingles, metal roofing, and commercial roofing systems as assigned.
- Assist with concrete preparation, forming, reinforcement, placement, finishing, and cleanup.
- Safely use ladders, fall-protection equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
- Load, unload, carry, stage, and protect construction materials.
- Perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, climbing, and working at heights.
- Follow supervisor instructions, project specifications, and manufacturer requirements.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
- Protect customers’ property and represent Gregco professionally.
- Report safety concerns, damaged materials, and workmanship issues immediately.
- Assist with other construction work as needed, including siding, framing, restoration, and general labor.
Required Qualifications
- Dependable, punctual, and ready to work.
- Willing to learn roofing, concrete, and related construction skills.
- Able to follow instructions and work effectively with a crew.
- Able to perform physical labor and lift construction materials safely.
- Comfortable working outdoors, on ladders, and at heights.
- Committed to following all company and job-site safety requirements.
- Able to report reliably to assigned job sites.
- Must provide at least one verifiable professional reference from a former employer, supervisor, crew leader, or construction client before being hired.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous roofing, concrete, carpentry, masonry, or construction experience.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and fall-protection equipment.
- Ability to read measurements, plans, or basic construction drawings.
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving history.
