Position Details:
This position works 52 weeks a year. It is scheduled 5 days per week at 8 hours per day.
Salary:
Salary will be commensurate with the level of education and experience of the recommended candidate.

EVSC employees have access to the EVSC Wee Care Learning Centers. The Wee Care program provides a quality early learning experience for employees' children as young as six weeks through age five at a special employee rate.
This position will automatically be enrolled in the Public Employees Retirement Fund (PERF) through the state of Indiana, which includes a defined benefit (Pension) as well as an Annuity Savings Account (ASA). In addition, this position is eligible to enroll in a 401(a) retirement investment plan, a 403(b) Match Program, and a tax-free post-retirement medical expense account (VEBA).
Eligible employees may enroll in the EVSC group life insurance and long term disability plans. EVSC also offers a variety of voluntary insurance products through American Fidelity.

SUMMARY:
The Manager of Talent Operations oversees the daily administration of classified Human Resources operations as well as ensuring employment processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with corporation policies, collective bargaining agreements, and applicable laws.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
Oversee the day-to-day administration of classified Human Resources operations, ensuring employment processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with corporation policies, collective bargaining agreements, and applicable laws.
Supervise Human Resources Generalists by providing daily guidance, assigning work, monitoring workflow, and ensuring timely completion of assigned responsibilities.
Oversee the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes for classified employees, ensuring administrators are supported and employment processes are administered consistently.
Monitor employment processes, including applications, qualifications, licensure, certifications, background checks, and onboarding requirements, to ensure compliance with corporation procedures and legal requirements.
Review and monitor personnel actions related to classified employees to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with corporation policies, collective bargaining agreements, and applicable federal and state regulations.
Serve as a resource to principals, supervisors, and department administrators by providing guidance on classified employment procedures, hiring processes, staffing requirements, and contract interpretation.
Support principals and department administrators in determining classified staffing needs and preparing staffing recommendations within approved budget allocations.
Assist with the administration and interpretation of classified collective bargaining agreements by providing guidance regarding contract language, employment practices, and personnel procedures.
Prepare and maintain annual classified employee work calendars and coordinate revisions with departments and schools as operational needs require.
Oversee the preparation and maintenance of classified salary schedules and ensure accurate pay rates and years-of-service adjustments are communicated to the Payroll Department.
Oversee the corporation's professional development and compliance tracking systems to ensure employees complete required state, federal, and district training.

Manage recurring Human Resources operational processes, including monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance activities.
Ensure classified personnel records and Human Resources Information System (HRIS) data are accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with record retention requirements and confidentiality standards.
Manage the corporation's unemployment claims process, including reviewing claims, coordinating responses, preparing documentation, representing the corporation during hearings as needed, and ensuring compliance with applicable unemployment laws and reporting requirements.
Assist in maintaining multiple Human Resources information systems and ensure the accuracy and integrity of employee data.
Compile, verify, and prepare personnel data and reports for local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
Respond to inquiries from employees, administrators, applicants, and outside agencies regarding classified employment, personnel procedures, compensation, and Human Resources processes.
Support the Assistant Director of Human Resources, Director of Human Resources, Chief Human Resources Officer, and other Human Resources staff with operational projects and departmental initiatives as assigned.
Maintain regular attendance.
JOB SPECIFIC SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED required. 3-5 years office experience. Degree in Business and/or Human Resources Management from an accredited college or university preferred. Supervision experience strongly preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from administrators, teachers, school board members, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Ability to analyze data and translate the findings into actionable strategies.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
