We are looking for a visionary, high-energy, and meticulously organized Director of Events to lead our event operations, mentor our talented team, and uphold our reputation for excellence.

Position Overview

As the Director of Events, you will oversee the end-to-end execution of all private, corporate, and public events hosted at City View. You will serve as a key leader within our organization, managing client relationships, coordinating venue logistics, and leading the floor staff to ensure every event is executed flawlessly. This role requires a balance of sharp administrative planning, proactive hospitality management, and hands-on leadership during event days.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Mentorship: Hire, train, schedule, and manage event coordinators, floor staff, and hospitality personnel. Act as a mentor, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
Event Planning & Execution: Oversee the logistical planning, layout coordination, and full execution of all booked events. Act as the primary escalation point for event-day operations.
Client Relationship Management: Serve as the trusted guide for clients from the final details meeting through the conclusion of their event, ensuring their vision comes to life seamlessly.
Vendor Coordination: Oversee external vendors (catering, floral, entertainment, audio/visual) to ensure strict adherence to venue policies, timelines, and safety standards.
Operations & Logistics: Manage venue setup, flip schedules, inventory control for event assets, and ensure the historic property is maintained beautifully before, during, and after every booking.

Qualifications

Experience: 3–5+ years of progressive leadership experience in hospitality management, high-volume event coordination, or venue operations.
Leadership Skills: Proven track record of managing a team, handling complex interpersonal workplace dynamics, and resolving high-pressure situations with grace.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to connect authentically with diverse clients, corporate executives, and staff.
Flexibility: Ability to work a non-traditional schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, aligned with the venue's active booking calendar.
Detail-Oriented: A sharp eye for aesthetics, cleanliness, and the operational nuances that turn a great event into an unrivaled experience.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $50,000 per year.
Earning Potential: $70,000+ total compensation through performance-based incentives and bonuses.
