If you're coming off another demanding busy season in public accounting, or you've already made the move into industry and are looking for a role with more ownership and impact, the Senior Accountant position at NFS Capital may be the perfect opportunity for you to continue building your career in a meaningful way.

NFS Capital is an independent equipment leasing company, serving growth-oriented companies in a variety of industries. We specialize in leasing technology equipment, scientific and medical equipment, as well as robotic, agricultural and construction equipment. For more than 19 years, NFS has been helping a wide array of businesses grow.

As a Senior Accountant at NFS Capital, reporting to the Controller and CFO, you'll be able to leverage your public accounting foundation, along with any industry experience you've gained, in a role that offers professional growth without the same burnout. You will be involved in core accounting operations, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives, while gaining exposure to a dynamic, transaction-driven business. This role is ideal for someone looking to deepen their technical skillset, take on more responsibility, and play a key role on a collaborative, growing team. While we work hard, we believe in balance and creating space for life outside of work. The position is in-office at our Beverly, MA office.

Job responsibilities include:

Handing day-to-day financial transactions and assisting with month-end close activities.
Maintaining various company financial records, including A/R, A/P, and monthly reconciliations.
Assisting with annual field exams, financial statement audit, and taxes (i.e. corporate, income, sales, and property taxes).
Creating, maintaining, and presenting data-intensive reports
Representing the finance team as one of the go-to team members for customer agreements, including external communication with customers.
Advising the Controller and CFO on various financial and business matters.
Assisting with special, ad-hoc projects as necessary.

Key Requirements / Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 5+ years of relevant experience.
Public accounting experience preferred.
Strong proficiency with MS Excel
Experience with QuickBooks.
Experience or exposure to Odessa Core Platform is a plus, but is not required.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage simultaneous projects under deadline pressure in a dynamic, fluid environment.
Candidate takes initiative and has a high-level of resourcefulness, confidence, and problem-solving skills.
Experience consolidating data and effectively presenting data in a team environment, with all levels of management.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Motivated and interested in personal growth and development as a business professional.

This position is an integral part of the finance team. We are looking for someone who is actively engaged and enthusiastic about their work.
