Full Job Description

Naimor Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and hands-on CNC Programmer and Machinist to join our metal fabrication facility in Snohomish. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for programming complex parts using Mastercam, performing setups, and directly operating both CNC mills and lathes. Additionally, you will serve as a technical leader on the shop floor, training and mentoring machine operators to ensure high-quality production, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Programming & Setup: Create, optimize, and prove out Mastercam programs for 3, 4, and 5-axis mills, as well as CNC lathes.
Machine Operation: Perform setups, tool changes, and full operation across our current machine lineup:
Mills: Haas UMC750 (5-axis), KIWA (4-axis), Haas VF3 (3-axis), and Haas VF10 (3-axis).
Lathes: Mazak Q250 and Haas SL10.
Operator Training: Train and mentor machine operators on proper setup procedures, machine operation, safety protocols, and basic troubleshooting.
Quality Control: Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet tight tolerances and exact engineering specifications.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to reduce cycle times, improve tool life, and streamline setup processes.
Troubleshooting: Resolve machining or programming issues quickly to minimize machine downtime.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Programming Experience: Extensive, proven experience programming with Mastercam.
Machining Expertise: Strong background operating and setting up 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC mills and CNC lathes. Direct experience with Haas, Mazak, and KIWA controls is highly preferred.
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to train, guide, and evaluate operators of varying skill levels.
Technical Skills: Deep understanding of speeds and feeds, tool selection, fixturing, and G-code/M-code editing.
Blueprint Reading: Proficiency in reading complex engineering drawings and understanding GD&T.
Materials Experience: Ability to confidently machine a wide variety of engineering materials (aluminum, stainless steel, etc.).

We are especially interested in a machinist who enjoys solving problems.

You should be able to look at a new drawing and determine:

How should I hold it? What tools should I use? What operations should come first? How can I make it accurately and efficiently?

We want someone who can help us make our machining department faster and stronger — not someone who needs every step provided to them.
