Full Job Description

405 Motors is a family-owned used car dealership in Woodinville that has experienced rapid growth since its establishment in 2007. We pride ourselves on maintaining a large, fast-selling inventory and are dedicated to expanding our talented team to support continued success.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage financial records, ensure accurate bookkeeping, and support our company's financial health. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, experience with various financial software, and a passion for maintaining precise financial data.

Expected Duties:

Manage daily bookkeeping tasks including data entry, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping to ensure accurate financial records.
Reconcile accounts such as the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to maintain balanced books.
Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Handle payroll management using systems like ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro, ensuring timely and accurate employee payments.
Conduct account analysis and account reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial data.
Assist with budget preparation, financial forecasting, and tax preparation activities.
Maintain compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and governmental accounting standards where applicable.
Support internal audits by providing necessary documentation and ensuring adherence to company policies.

Skills Expected:

Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Workday, Ceridian, Kronos, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and governmental accounting standards.
Experience with payroll management systems like ADP or Paychex.
Familiarity with technical accounting concepts and financial analysis techniques.
Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy; proficiency in 10 key typing is preferred.
Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation and balance sheet analysis efficiently.
Strong mathematical skills combined with a solid understanding of debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger management.
Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and supporting audit processes.
