Overview

Join our dynamic finance team as an Accounting Clerk and become a vital contributor to our company's financial health! As an integral part of our organization, you will handle essential bookkeeping tasks, assist with financial data management, and ensure smooth operations across various accounting functions. Duties

Perform data entry and maintain accurate records within multiple accounting software systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Workday, and ADP.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections while reconciling discrepancies.
Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger adjustments in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and governmental accounting standards.
Conduct account analysis, account reconciliation, and detailed ledger reviews to ensure financial accuracy.
Support month-end closing activities by assisting with ledger review, financial statement preparation, and audit documentation.
Handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining high levels of data security and integrity.
Assist with budgeting, credit analysis, and financial data analysis using Excel data analysis tools for informed decision-making.

Skills

Strong understanding of accounting concepts including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and journal entries.
Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, UltiPro, Kronos, Ceridian, and other financial systems like Paychex and ADP.
Experience with financial software integrations including Microsoft Office Suite—especially Excel for data analysis and spreadsheets.
Knowledge of SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance requirements related to internal controls over financial reporting.
Familiarity with public accounting practices and technical accounting standards including GAAP and governmental accounting principles.
Excellent numeracy skills combined with strong attention to detail for accurate account reconciliation and account analysis.
Effective customer service skills to communicate clearly with vendors, auditors, and internal teams regarding account inquiries or discrepancies.
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
