Territory Sales Manager

Location: Kansas City, Missouri (Required)

Territory: Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, and Illinois

Foster Babcock & Associates is a leading manufacturers' representative agency serving the automotive aftermarket industry. With offices in Kansas City, Missouri, and Elk River, Minnesota, we partner with a diverse portfolio of aftermarket automotive manufacturers to provide sales representation, marketing support, market analysis, customer service, and product training.

We are seeking an energetic, results-driven Territory Sales Manager to join our growing sales team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional who enjoys building relationships, developing business opportunities, and representing innovative automotive aftermarket brands throughout a multi-state territory.

Position Summary

The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market presence throughout Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, and Illinois. This role requires a strategic sales professional who can cultivate strong customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and deliver value-driven solutions to distributors, retailers, and industry partners.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute territory sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue goals.
Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities while maintaining and growing existing customer relationships.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and customer needs.
Collaborate with manufacturers, internal team members, and customers to develop tailored solutions that support business objectives.
Monitor sales performance and territory metrics, using data-driven insights to guide strategic decisions and account planning.
Represent Foster Babcock & Associates and our manufacturer partners at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
Provide product training, sales support, and market feedback to manufacturers and customers.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and territory development efforts.

Qualifications Required

3–5+ years of successful outside sales experience with a demonstrated record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Proven ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
Experience managing complex sales cycles and multiple customer accounts.
Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently within a defined territory.

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience in the automotive aftermarket or automotive performance industry.
Knowledge of distribution channels and customer networks within the automotive industry.

Technical Skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience utilizing CRM systems and sales reporting tools is a plus.
