Full Job Description

We are looking for a Full time Sports Medicine & Physical Therapy Front Desk Receptionist that is flexible, reliable and great with multitasking. At least 2 years of experience is preferred. Must be able to work mornings and evenings hrs (8pm Closing).

Role and Responsibilities

· Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Check-In and Out

· Prior Authorizations for Physical Therapy services

· Insurance and benefits verifications and eligibility for Physicians and Physical Therapy

· Physical Therapy Initial Evaluation packets

· Preparing and maintaining Physical Therapy Active case reports

·Greets, instructs, directs patients and visitors as soon as they arrive at the office

· Register/ Check-in/ Check-out patients

· Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office

· Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls

· Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary and stationary material (e.g., pens, forms, and brochures)

· Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email

· Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries

· Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk

· Schedule appointments

· Collect patient copays

· Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Required High School Diploma or equivalent
Medical Office Experience: 2 years required
Knowledge of business office procedures & medical terminology
Prior Physical Therapy Experience a MUST
Computer skills including, but not limited to, MS Office
CPR certification

Preferred Skills

Strong communication skills- You will be working within a team!
Working knowledge of common medical practices/policy/procedures (Orthopedic specific and Physical Therapy)
Maintaining a professional attitude and attire at all times
Ability to multitask
