Full Job Description

Pike's Landing Restaurant is one of Fairbanks' most beloved dining destinations, known for its stunning riverfront views and commitment to authentic Alaskan experiences. We are seeking skilled and motivated Line Cooks to join our kitchen team for our lunch shift and help deliver memorable dining experiences to every guest who walks through our doors.

Responsibilities

Prepare and execute menu items according to Pike's Landing recipes, portion standards, and plating guidelines
Perform prep work including chopping, slicing, marinating, and assembling dishes with precision and efficiency
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with Alaska health and food safety regulations
Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure freshness and prevent cross-contamination
Work efficiently during Pike's Landing's day service hours (approximately 9am–5pm), supporting the team with cooking tasks and timely plating
Monitor food temperatures and presentation standards before every dish leaves the kitchen
Rotate and manage stock appropriately, notifying the Pike's Landing kitchen manager of any shortages or inventory concerns
Contribute ideas for seasonal menu items that complement Pike's Landing's dining experience

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant kitchen, food preparation, or line cook role is required
Solid knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
Strong knife skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced team environment
Availability to work weekends as part of the Pike's Landing day shift schedule
