Job Overview

In this vital role, you’ll be the first point of contact for pet owners and visitors, managing appointments, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will contribute to a positive environment that supports animal health and owner satisfaction. Responsibilities

Greet clients and visitors warmly, creating a friendly and professional first impression.
Schedule appointments efficiently, accommodating urgent cases and routine visits.
Manage medical billing and collections with accuracy and confidentiality.
Answer phone calls promptly, providing information and directing inquiries appropriately.
Maintain detailed records of patient visits, treatments, and medical histories using veterinary software.
Assist with animal handling tasks such as restraint during examinations or treatments when needed.
Support kennel operations by coordinating pet drop-offs, pick-ups, and care instructions.
Facilitate communication between veterinary staff and pet owners regarding treatment plans or follow-up care.
Uphold clinic cleanliness and organization to ensure a safe environment for animals, staff, and clients.
Handle laboratory sample processing or preparation as required by veterinary procedures.

Experience
Candidates should possess a strong background in animal care environments with relevant skills including veterinary terminology, animal handling, and pet grooming. Prior experience in veterinary reception or administrative roles is highly valued. Additional qualifications that enhance your candidacy include:

Medical collection experience ensuring accurate billing processes.
Kennel experience demonstrating familiarity with pet boarding procedures.
Animal husbandry knowledge supporting daily care routines.
Veterinary critical care experience providing insight into urgent animal health needs.
Animal catheterization skills for assisting during procedures when necessary.
Knowledge of animal anatomy to support effective communication with veterinary staff.
Aseptic technique familiarity to maintain sterile environments during treatments or sample collection.
Laboratory experience related to diagnostic testing or sample analysis.
Dog handling expertise to assist with training or behavioral management sessions.
