Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Marketing and Communications to lead our marketing initiatives and elevate our brand presence. This role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies, managing digital campaigns, and overseeing communication efforts across various channels. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a data-driven mindset, and expertise in digital marketing, social media, and project management. As a key member of our leadership team, the Director will collaborate across departments to ensure cohesive messaging and impactful outreach that aligns with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

Lead the overall marketing management strategy, including planning, execution, and evaluation of marketing campaigns.
Oversee digital marketing efforts across platforms such as social media, email, and online advertising to maximize reach and engagement.
Manage marketing projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational objectives.
Provide team leadership by mentoring marketing staff, fostering a collaborative environment, and promoting professional development.
Develop and implement social media strategies that enhance brand visibility and community engagement.
Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with other departments to ensure consistent messaging and integrated campaign execution.
Utilize graphic design skills to oversee the creation of visual content that supports branding and marketing initiatives.
Make data-driven decisions by analyzing campaign performance metrics to optimize ongoing efforts.
Manage external vendors or agencies as needed for specialized services such as video production or creative design.
Leverage additional skills such as video editing, SEO, AI competence, business acumen, finance/accounting knowledge, general tech proficiency, or event coordination to enhance marketing effectiveness when applicable.

Skills

Proven experience in marketing management with a focus on digital strategies.
Strong leadership abilities with experience managing teams and projects.
Expertise in social media marketing, content creation, and graphic design.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to craft compelling messages (wordsmithing).
Proficiency in data analysis to inform decision-making processes.
Knowledge of SEO best practices and AI tools relevant to marketing efforts.
Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Bonus skills include video editing, sales skills, event directing (such as pickleball events), video production (including cameraman work), financial or business competence, general technical proficiency, or other versatile talents that support strategic initiatives.
