Full Job Description

The Site Supervisor is responsible for creating, implementing, and leading a high-quality, developmentally appropriate educational program for young children. This role ensures a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment while fostering strong relationships with families and supporting the professional growth of associate and assistant teachers.

Key Responsibilities

● Plan, implement, and evaluate a developmentally appropriate curriculum that meets the needs of all children.

● Implements State licensing regulations for the Childcare Center

● Maintains appropriate staff level to accommodate children enrolled in the program in accordance with regulations.

● Monitors family enrollment to ensure reporting procedures for the Childcare Center’s attendance and fiscal information is accurate.

● Works in classrooms as a teacher on an as needed basis

● Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children by following licensing regulations, company policies, and best practices.

● Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes learning through play and exploration.

● Observe, assess, and document children’s developmental progress and share results with families.

● Lead, mentor, and support associate, assistant teachers and lead teachers fostering collaboration and professional growth.

● Establish and maintain effective communication with families, providing regular updates on their child’s progress.

● Develop and maintain partnerships with parents to support children’s development and learning.

● Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuous professional development.

● Manage classroom organization, materials, and equipment to ensure a safe and inviting learning space.

Qualifications

● Education: Minimum of 24 Early Childhood Education (ECE) semester units, including core courses: Child/Human Growth and Development; Child/Family/Community or Child and Family Relations; Programs/Curriculum. General Education classes.

AA or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.

● Site Supervisor or higher-level California Child Development Permit preferred.

● Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a similar role in an early childhood program.

● Certifications: Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire. California Mandated Reporter Training Certificate (completed within 7 days of hire). Health & Safety Training per California licensing requirements.

● Knowledge & Skills: Strong knowledge of child development, curriculum planning, DRDP assessments and best practices in early childhood education. Ability to lead a team, mentor staff, and maintain positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

● Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

● Ability to pass background check

● Pass a TB test

● Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

● Frequent bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.

● Active participation in classroom and playground activities.

Compensation: $28 - $32
