Summary

The Assembler position works collaboratively as part of a team to assemble complete products or specific components according to instructions, using hand/power tools and machinery equipment. Key tasks include positioning components, fastening parts, maintaining and calibrating assembly tools and equipment, and performing functional tests and quality checks. Assemblers may be provided with structured cross-training opportunities across multiple assembly departments to enhance workforce flexibility, improve operational efficiency, and maintain high-quality standards. This approach supports skill development, broadens product and process knowledge, and fosters a more versatile, collaborative team capable of adapting to changing production demands.

Job Goal

The goal of this role is to assemble high-quality products and components accurately and efficiently while following established work instructions and safety standards. It focuses on supporting production goals through teamwork, cross-training, and continuous improvement to maintain a flexible and reliable manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities

Use hand tools for building, forming, bending, punching, grinding, cutting, brazing, and buffing multiple manufacturing parts.
Perform quality checks on products and components to ensure adherence to specifications and instructions to identify defects or inconsistencies.
Use testing, electrical, and measurement equipment.
Lifting and loading parts and components to transport to various areas or machines.
Use various solutions to apply to parts according to instructions.
Rotate through all tasks within the production process to support team efficiency and workflow.
Assist in determining work assignments and appropriate procedures to meet production goals.
Train and support other employees on job tasks and standard operating procedures.
Accurately clock in and out of jobs while utilizing and learning internal computer systems.

Package, label, and prepare finished goods for shipment.
Troubleshooting assembly issues and reporting malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors.
Follow company and industry safety procedures (OSHA), including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain a clean and organized work environment by sweeping and performing general housekeeping duties.
All other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

Education level preferred is a high school diploma or equivalent.

Skills & Abilities:

· High attention to detail and close attention to accuracy to avoid assembly quality errors.

· Ability to sit for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.

· Willingness to learn and develop manufacturing skills through job training and have a commitment to continuous improvement.

Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English language to understand instructions and other writings on the job description, follow warnings, safety and quality signage as well as writing communication when required on work instructions or sharing to team

· Ability to follow detailed work instructions.

· Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and/or hear, and/or use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Other Physical Requirements:

Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when necessary (Safety Glasses, Foot Protection and/or Hearing Protection).
