Full Job Description

Pedigo Products, Inc., a leading Manufacturer of high-quality medical devices, is looking for a Supervisor to lead our Welding Team. The Welding Supervisor will have overall responsibility for a team of 30+ TIG, MIG, Spot Welders and assistants across 2 shifts. This is a full-time day shift position reporting to the Production Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide top level leadership for both shifts of welding operations
Prioritize and direct the workflow in welding to support interdependent departments
Promote personal productivity of welding team in meeting department goals
Ensure quality checks are completed and report non-conformances
Ensure production transaction accuracy in the ERP system
Collaborate with Production Manager and other Supervisors to optimize overall output
Evaluate and develop welding skills and cross training of the team across both shifts
Develop and document best practices within the department

Experience, Skills, Education and Attributes of Candidates to be considered:

5+ Years of Welding leadership of a team of 10 or more welders
Ability to read and comprehend drawings/prints, weld callouts, job travelers, instructions
Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills
Desire to lead and motivate an experienced team to meet and exceed expectations
Passion for production output and continuous improvement
Natural inclination toward planning, organization, and efficiency
Sufficient welding skills to support development of welders
Experience or aptitude for working with an ERP System for production transactions
Good computer and basic math skills (Basic Geometry, Fractions, Decimals)

Resources:

Mostly newer Miller Welding Machines, Ergonomic rotating weld tables and fixtures
Capable ERP system for Job/Work Order Management
Newer clean factory setting with new/modern breakrooms and restrooms
