Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Assist in menu planning by providing input on dish presentation and ingredient selection
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices are followed
Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food efficiently and accurately
Serve dishes promptly and professionally to ensure a positive guest experience
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred
Strong culinary skills including knife techniques, food preparation, and cooking methods
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Experience with meal preparation, menu planning, and food industry best practices
Familiarity with dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward supporting kitchen operations
