Full Job Description

Overview
Join our dynamic team as an Accounting Assistant and become a vital part of our financial operations! This energized role offers the opportunity to support accounting processes, manage administrative tasks, and ensure smooth office functions. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with bookkeeping, and providing exceptional customer service to internal teams and external clients. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong organizational skills, this position is perfect for you to grow your career while making a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities:

· Process and review accounts payable and accounts receivable

· Assist with general ledger entries, including accruals and prepaids

· Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and key balance sheet accounts

· Support monthly and year-end close activities

· Prepare and maintain financial schedules and supporting documentation

· Assist with financial reporting and internal analysis

· Manage vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies

· Maintain organized accounting records and documentation

· Support audit requests and provide documentation as needed

· Assist with budgeting, forecasting, or special finance projects

· Provide backup support across AP, AR, and other functions

Education and/or experience:

· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

· 2+ years of accounting experience

· Understanding of accounting concepts (journal entries, reconciliations, etc.)

· Experience with accounting systems, meeting software, and cloud-based storage

· Proficient in Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience with month-end close

· Experience in a manufacturing or project-based environment

· Familiarity with basic financial reporting

· Exposure to cost accounting or inventory accounting

Key Skills:

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy

· Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

· Problem-solving mindset (research and fix discrepancies)

· Clear communication with internal teams and vendors

· Professional conduct combined with a high level of integrity and confidentiality

· Commitment to consistent, accurate, and quality work

· The ability to think critically and make decisions based on rules and guidelines.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
