Full Job Description

Job Tite -Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR)

Location: Fargo North Dakota (More than 60 miles)
Specialty: Operating Room (OR)
Shift: Evening Shift (11:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Shift Length: 8 Hours
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours per Week
Job Duration: 13 weeks with possible extension (BI02)
Weekends: None
On-Call: No Call Required

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-volume Level I Trauma hospital in North Dakota. The ideal candidate will have strong circulating experience across multiple surgical specialties and be comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care environment. This position offers consistent weekday hours with no weekend or on-call requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Circulate during a variety of surgical cases while maintaining patient safety and sterile technique.
Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields throughout procedures.
Assist with patient positioning, skin preparation, and catheter insertion as required.
Set up, operate, and troubleshoot operating room equipment and surgical instruments.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and perioperative staff.
Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery.
Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR.
Follow AORN standards, infection prevention protocols, and hospital policies.
Float to affiliated campuses when needed (rare).

Minimum Qualifications

Active North Dakota RN License or Compact RN License.
Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience.
Current BLS Certification.
Experience in a 250+ bed Level I Trauma Hospital.
Experience in an acute care hospital with 15 or more Operating Room suites.
Strong circulating experience in multiple surgical specialties.
