Full Job Description

Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers, to maintain a cohesive and productive team environment.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff and management to plan and execute brunch menus, ensuring efficient production and timely delivery of food to guests.
Manage inventory levels and food costs, including ordering, receiving, and storage of ingredients and supplies.
Develop and maintain standardized recipes, portion sizes, and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and quality in every dish.
Monitor kitchen operations to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation practices.
Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, safety procedures, and kitchen equipment operation.
Conduct regular inspections of kitchen equipment and facilities, scheduling maintenance and repairs as needed.
Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies for improving kitchen efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing food quality.
Handle administrative tasks, such as scheduling, the ordering of goods, and budget management, to ensure smooth operations and financial success.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a kitchen management or leadership role in the restaurant industry, preferably in a high-volume brunch establishment.
Strong culinary skills and a passion for food and cooking.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen sanitation practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
