Senior Quality Manager – Manufacturing
Location: Littleton, MA | On-Site Leadership Role

Salary - $150,000 - $170,000 + 10% Bonus

Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Quality Manager to spearhead manufacturing quality operations within our highly regulated Medical Devices production facility in Littleton, Massachusetts. This pivotal leadership role is designed for a quality professional who seamlessly bridges hands-on shop-floor execution with rigorous regulatory oversight, team leadership, and continuous improvement strategies.

In this role, you will champion daily production quality, direct Quality Engineering and QC workflows, and collaborate across Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations to elevate quality metrics, mitigate operational risk, and fuel business success.

What You’ll Do

Lead and oversee all manufacturing quality workflows across active production lines.
Manage in-process testing, final inspection protocols, product acceptance, and final release.
Mentor, develop, and guide a high-performing team of Quality Engineers, QC Supervisors, and inspectors.
Direct the NCR/MRB infrastructure, driving robust investigations, timely dispositions, trend analysis, and swift closures.
Steer the CAPA ecosystem, executing deep root-cause analyses on manufacturing anomalies and trends.
Champion continuous improvement programs focused on boosting yields, optimizing efficiency, and cutting operational risk.
Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and advanced statistical methodologies to improve production performance.
Support the seamless introduction of new products, machinery, and manufacturing lines through proactive quality planning.
Secure total compliance with ISO 13485, FDA QMSR, and international regulatory mandates.
Serve as a key point of contact for internal audits and external regulatory inspections (FDA, Notified Bodies).
Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Supply Chain, Engineering, and Operations to resolve quality bottlenecks.
Manage supplier quality initiatives regarding incoming materials and vendor performance.
Deliver data-backed performance metrics, risk assessments, and trend reports to senior leadership.
Cultivate a robust culture of accountability, quality ownership, and professional growth across the team.

What We’re Looking For

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or an equivalent mix of education and practical experience).
8+ years of progressive Quality experience within medical device, aerospace, defense, or IVD manufacturing settings.
Direct, hands-on medical device manufacturing experience is strictly required.
3+ years of formal management experience directly leading Quality Engineers and/or QC inspection teams.
Mastery over manufacturing quality execution, including NCR/MRB management, CAPA workflows, and floor-level leadership.
Deep, practical knowledge of ISO 13485 frameworks and risk-based quality methodologies.
Proven track record supporting regulatory audits and maintaining robust Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Demonstrated expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, root-cause analysis, and sustainable process optimization.
Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving capabilities.
Flexibility to travel roughly 5–10% for vendor evaluations, customer site visits, troubleshooting, and system validation.

You are a visible, proactive leader who seamlessly transitions between the production floor, engineering labs, and executive boardroom meetings. You do not just react to quality issues; you analyze metrics to construct scalable, preventative processes. Mastery of eQMS platforms, SPC/statistical tools, live quality dashboards, and strict FDA/ISO frameworks will make you stand out.
