Job Title: Media Technician

Job Summary:
The Media Technician supports technology integration in classrooms by maintaining troubleshooting and managing school technology assets. They assist staff and students with hardware and software issues, install updates, and ensure accessibility to digital resources. Additionally, they collaborate with educators to enhance learning through technology and provide training on basic troubleshooting.
Essential Functions (May include, but not limited to):

Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on computers, laptops, tablets, printers, and other technology equipment.

Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for students and staff to ensure seamless technology use.

Install, update, and configure software applications to support educational and administrative needs.

Manage and track the school’s technology inventory, including ordering and maintaining supplies.

Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate technology into the classroom and enhance instructional effectiveness.

Ensure accessibility and functionality of the school’s digital network and educational platforms for all users.

Conduct training sessions for staff and students on basic technology use, troubleshooting, and best practices.

Maintain and update the school building’s webpage to ensure accurate and timely communication.

Assist with the setup, operation, and maintenance of audio-visual equipment for school events and presentations.

Participate in district level training, workshops, and special projects to stay current with technological trends and best practices.

Provide recommendations for technological improvements and advancements based on industry trends.

Represent the District professionally by performing all duties at a satisfactory or above level.

Foster positive, supportive, and cooperative interactions with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional education is preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience with technology preferred.
Skills:
Ability to work independently or collaboratively with school staff. Ability to assist students with using computer programs. Familiarity with technology tools and platforms, including hardware and troubleshooting software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Other requirements:
Must comply with the Student Safety Initiative Legislation, as amended. Newly hired staff are required to successfully complete the following pre-employment screenings: 1) Criminal background check, including national and local clearance.

Special Job Considerations: Salary Schedule: $20.00 per hour, 35 hours per week, 210 days per year, no benefits
