Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience. This role involves managing patient appointments, handling medical documentation, and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers in a fast-paced medical environment.

Responsibilities

Greet patients upon arrival and provide them with necessary information regarding their appointments.
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments while maintaining an organized calendar.
Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history.
Handle phone inquiries, directing calls appropriately and responding to patient questions with professionalism.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before patient visits.
Collect patient balances and co-payments.
Maintain a clean and organized reception area to enhance patient experience.
Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure smooth patient flow and effective communication within the clinic or hospital setting.

Skills

At least 1 year experience in a medical office or clinic setting is required.
Familiarity with medical receptionist duties, including appointment scheduling and documentation review.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff alike.
