We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Payroll Coordinator to join the team in our Parsippany office.

CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, our professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week.

YOUR ROLE.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Establish, maintain, and validate employee payroll records to support accuracy, completeness, and multi‑state compliance.
Process regular, off‑cycle, and special payrolls, including final pay for terminations, retroactive adjustments, and payroll corrections.
Calculate, review, and record payroll earnings, taxes, and deductions in accordance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
Administer involuntary deductions such as garnishments, levies, child support, and tax liens, ensuring accurate setup, timely remittance, and ongoing compliance.
Execute routine payroll processing activities for regular and off‑cycle payrolls in accordance with established timelines and internal controls.
Follow documented payroll procedures, checklists, and approval workflows to ensure consistency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
Maintain well‑organized payroll documentation and supporting records; provide requested data and explanations to internal stakeholders and external partners as needed.
Serve as a contact for employee payroll inquiries, discrepancies, and issue resolution, delivering professional, responsive, and confidential service.
Partner closely with the People & Culture team to coordinate payroll activities related to new hires, terminations, benefit changes, and leave administration.
Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll, compensation, and employee information at all times, in compliance with company policies and data privacy requirements.

YOUR EXPERIENCE.

The successful candidate will have:

3-5 years of payroll experience in a multi‑state environment.
Strong working knowledge of payroll regulations, wage and hour laws, and payroll best practices.
Hands‑on experience with payroll systems; UKG experience strongly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including reconciliations, reporting, and data analysis.
Experience preparing payroll reports and supporting documentation for review and reporting purposes.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict payroll deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Willingness and ability to work overtime as needed during payroll cycles, year‑end, or special processing periods.

In New Jersey, the salary range for a Coordinator is $68,000 to $93,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. Salary is one component of the CohnReznick total rewards package, which includes a discretionary performance bonus, generous paid time off, expanded and inclusive parental benefits, to name a few.
