Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Pastry Cook to join our vibrant culinary team at a fine dining establishment. Duties

Prepare pastry ingredients and components according to recipes and quality standards, including mixing, portioning, and organizing ingredients for efficient production
Assist in cake decorating, applying techniques such as piping, frosting, and finishing touches to create visually appealing desserts
Support food production by executing tasks related to baking, food handling, and food preparation in a fast-paced kitchen setting
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station, adhering to food safety protocols at all times
Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely completion of orders while maintaining high standards of quality and consistency
Contribute to the development of new pastry recipes and menu items by offering creative ideas and feedback

Qualifications

Previous experience in pastry preparation or baking is highly preferred, with a strong foundation in culinary techniques
Demonstrated skills in food presentation are desirable
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is essential
Excellent knife skills, baking expertise, and familiarity with kitchen equipment are important for success in this role
Strong attention to detail, ability to work efficiently under pressure, and excellent teamwork skills are required
Prior restaurant or food industry experience is required; enthusiasm for learning is key
