Full Job Description

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Overview

Your job is to support the Director of Sales. You'll help organize department activities designed to sell in and sell through Bajio sunglasses and apparel thru a national and international network of retailers. These activities include:

Creating a system for identifying the point of sale needs for retailers and working with marketing to develop needed assets
Attending trade events and helping to organize the logistics of those events
Organizing and distributing sales data to provide sales force with insights into their accounts' performance relative to expectations
Measuring rep performance with regard to maintaining point of sale standards, including product availability, marketing material placement, and in-store staff training
Analyzing sales trends by geographies, store types and sales rep territories to find opportunities for growth
Establishing and maintaining relationships with key members of the sales team and key retailer contacts.

Key Skills Needed

Organized. You should be a person that prides themselves on being organized. (You have the best looking closets in town, your checkbook is always balanced, and you're always on time.) You'll need to capture and organize a large amount of information on a large number retailers and make it easily accessible and actionable.
Personable. While you'll have your head in the data much of the time, when the phone rings, you'll need to answer it with a smile and a helpful attitude. You're the person they call when they don't know who else to call or can't reach your boss. You'll want them to feel they came to the right person and to leave satisfied.
Analytical. Not only will you need to gather and organize lots of information, but you'll need to figure out what it all means. What are the trends? Who's doing well and who's not? Who needs a kick in the butt and who needs a friendly word of encouragement? Where can we get the biggest bang for our buck?

You'll also need to be someone who's a good fit for the Bajio culture. We are a small company and so we need to all work as a team. There are several values that we look for in the people we hire. If these resonate, chances are you're a good fit.
