ViaMar Health Institutes of the Palm Beaches is seeking an experienced Admissions Counselor / Manager to play a critical role in helping individuals and families access timely behavioral health treatment. If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment, understand managed care inside and out, and are passionate about guiding people through the admissions process with compassion and clarity, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

As an Admissions Counselor, you will serve as a key liaison between clients, families, providers, and managed care organizations. Your responsibilities will include:

Managing the full admissions and intake process, from first contact through placement
Verifying insurance benefits and explaining coverage clearly to clients and families
Working directly with managed care companies on authorizations, claims, billing, and contract.
Collaborating with clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth, timely admissions
Providing compassionate, responsive support during high‑stress situations

What We’re Looking For

Required Experience & Skills:

2+ years in the mental health or behavioral health field working with managed care
2+ years in Admissions, Intake, or a closely related role
Strong knowledge of:
Managed care claims and billing processes
Verification of benefits
Facility admissions workflows
Strong computer skills and comfort with documentation systems
Excellent communication, organization, and follow‑through

Ideal Candidate Traits:

Calm, professional, and empathetic under pressure
Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving skills
Driven by a genuine desire to help clients and families access care quickly

Competitive salary based on experience. Manager experience paid at the higher salary range. Full benefits packages offered.
