Full Job Description

This position is not entry level. Please do not apply if you do not have experience. There will be a welding and fabrication test.

Job Summary
BlueLine Industries, a growing metal fabrication company in Chino, CA, is seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in light-gauge sheet metal and structural steel fabrication, experience with multiple welding techniques, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, takes pride in craftsmanship, and can work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

Perform MIG, TIG, and FCAW welding on various materials, including light-gauge sheet metal, ductwork, and structural steel up to ½”.
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, schematics, and ASME codes & standards to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
Fit, square, and tack weld components with close tolerances.
Operate fabrication machinery such as grinders, saws, and plasma cutters.
Perform layout, drilling, forming, pipe threading, rigging, and component assembly as needed.
Safely operate cranes and forklifts to move and position materials.
Conduct inspections to verify alignment, weld quality, and dimensional accuracy.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following company safety standards and procedures.
Collaborate with engineers, fabricators, and project leads to ensure efficiency and quality on every job.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in welding and fabrication, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Proficient in MIG, TIG, and FCAW welding techniques.
Skilled in working with light-gauge sheet metal and structural steel.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, weld symbols, and technical documents accurately.
Familiarity with mechanical tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments.
Knowledge of machining or ductwork fabrication processes is a plus.
Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Welding certifications (AWS D1.1 or equivalent) preferred but not required.

Schedule & Benefits

Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays or overtime as needed.
