Position Summary

The CDL Driver is responsible for completing daily material deliveries in a safe, timely, and professional manner. This role ensures accurate transportation of landscape materials to residential and commercial job sites while providing excellent customer service and maintaining company equipment to the highest standards.

The position requires strong driving skills, attention to detail, safety awareness, and a team-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Delivery Operations

Complete scheduled daily deliveries efficiently and on time
Safely operate CDL-class vehicles including dump trucks and flatbeds
Follow assigned routes and adjust as needed for traffic or job site conditions
Verify load accuracy prior to departure and confirm delivery completion

Customer Interaction & Service

Interact professionally with customers at delivery locations
Communicate clearly regarding placement of materials and site access
Address basic delivery questions and notify dispatch of any issues
Represent the company positively at all job sites

Vehicle Inspection & Maintenance

Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck and equipment
Report mechanical issues, safety concerns, or maintenance needs promptly
Maintain required logs, tickets, and delivery documentation accurately
Ensure compliance with DOT and company safety regulations

Truck Cleanliness & Equipment Care

Keep truck interior and exterior clean and organized
Maintain tarps, gates, and truck-mounted equipment in proper working condition
Take pride in the appearance and upkeep of assigned vehicle

Yard & Manual Labor Support

Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed
Support snow removal, seasonal setup, or special projects as needed
Support yard operations when not on deliveries
Perform general labor duties including cleanup, organizing materials, or assisting other team members
Complete other manual labor duties as assigned

Qualifications

Valid Class A or Class B CDL, dump truck experience preferred
Clean driving record and ability to meet insurance requirements
Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
Ability to perform physical labor and lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to safely enter and exit company vehicles, including trucks, in accordance with safety guidelines
Strong work ethic and reliability
