Job Overview
Building & Repair Systems (BR Systems) is hiring experienced Journeyman Carpenters for commercial renovation work at Fort Campbell.
We are looking for skilled, dependable carpenters with experience in:
- Metal stud framing
- Drywall hanging
- Acoustical ceiling grid and tile
- Commercial and institutional construction
This position requires access to an active U.S. military installation. Applicants must have a record that allows them to successfully obtain and maintain access to Fort Campbell.
This is an opportunity for an experienced carpenter looking for $29/hour prevailing-wage work, commercial construction experience, and the opportunity to advance with a rapidly growing contractor.

Building & Repair Systems (BR Systems) is a veteran-owned commercial and government general contractor with an in-house carpentry division.
Our carpentry crews operate in two primary areas:
- Self-performing carpentry on BR Systems' own general contracting projects, allowing us to directly control quality, production, and schedule.
- Large production carpentry projects as a subcontractor, performing framing, drywall, ceilings, and related scopes for other general contractors.

What You'll Do
As a Journeyman Carpenter at Fort Campbell, you will work as part of our self-performing field team. Responsibilities include:
- Layout and installation of commercial metal stud framing
- Installing metal track, studs, headers, backing, and related framing components
- Hanging and fastening drywall
- Measuring, cutting, and fitting drywall around openings, utilities, and penetrations
- Installing acoustical ceiling grid
- Installing acoustical ceiling tile
- Reading construction drawings, layouts, and field dimensions
- Operating standard commercial carpentry tools and equipment
- Working from ladders, scaffolding, and lifts as required
- Maintaining production and quality standards
- Following BR Systems, OSHA, and Fort Campbell safety requirements
- Maintaining a clean and professional jobsite
- Working effectively with foremen, superintendents, and other trades
Required Qualifications
Applicants should have:
- Commercial metal stud framing experience
- Commercial drywall hanging experience
- Acoustical ceiling installation experience preferred
- Ability to accurately measure, layout, cut, and install materials
- Experience using standard commercial construction tools
- Ability to perform physically demanding construction work throughout the workday
- Ability to safely work from ladders, scaffolding, and lifts
- Reliable transportation
- Strong attendance and dependability
- Ability to work productively as part of a construction crew
- Ability to obtain and maintain Fort Campbell installation access
Journeyman-level commercial carpentry experience is strongly preferred.
Fort Campbell Base Access – Required
You must be able to obtain and maintain access to Fort Campbell to work in this position.
Because this project is located on an active U.S. military installation, applicants must:
- Have a record that permits them to obtain Fort Campbell access
- Be able to successfully complete required installation screening
- Possess valid government-issued identification and required documentation
- Maintain eligibility for base access throughout employment on the project
- Comply with all Fort Campbell security and conduct requirements
If you cannot obtain access to Fort Campbell, you cannot work on this project.
Pay
$29.00 per hour – Journeyman Carpenter
This position is paid according to the applicable Fort Campbell prevailing wage for the journeyman carpenter classification.
