Key Responsibilities
Material Handling, Framing, Structural Work, Installation and Cleaning – 89%
- Collects and interprets measurements for material orders and installations.
- Measures, cuts, and shapes wood and other materials using hand and power tools.
- Moves, secures, installs, builds, loads, or unloads materials as needed.
- Selects appropriate materials for each task based on project specifications.
- Constructs walls, floors, roofs, staircases, decks, and porches using framing techniques.
- Installs joists, rafters, trusses, doors, windows, cabinetry, countertops, trim, drywall, insulation, and flooring.
- Interprets and follows architectural and structural plans to ensure accurate construction and installation.
- Maintains a clean and hazard-free job site to ensure safety and efficiency throughout all phases of construction.
Specialized Skilled Tasks - 10%
- Performs specialized tasks that may require on-the-job training.
- Effectively uses heavy and light equipment, depending on the jobsite/assignment.
Communication & Planning - 1 %
- Communicates with the supervisor on project status and day-to-day progress.
- Manages time effectively to meet project deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- 3+ years residential construction experience is preferred
- Strong knowledge of building codes and structural construction
- Ability to read, comprehend, and execute structural plans
- Experience with custom home finish details and ability to work independently
Required for All Positions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Own basic hand tools
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs daily
- Ability to climb ladders daily
- Drug-free workplace compliance
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
