Full Job Description

Urgently Hiring - $200 Bonus After 90 days employed

Early Adventures Preschool and Daycare is part of Crossroads Church. Preschool and childcare are offered for children ages six weeks to five years, Monday-Friday, with full and part-time scheduling options. EAC is a play-based preschool and daycare that focuses on high quality responsive care. We are looking for individuals who would be comfortable with infants, toddlers, and PreK aged children.

Crossroads is a progressive and inclusive community church serving greater northern Colorado. We nurture qualities in children that inspire them to learn, connect and care. While the Sunday morning program is faith-based, the weekday program will be designed for the general public and honoring of all faith orientations.

Lead Teacher Responsibilities

Plan, implement, and supervise the arrangement and organization of the classroom environment to stimulate the students
Mentor and monitor assistants and other staff in the room
Follow proper procedure when handling food
Document daily activities, feeding and diaper changes on ProCare
May lead, guide, and train staff/student employees, interns, and/or volunteers performing related work; may participate in the recruitment of volunteers, as appropriate to the area of operation.
Teach in a manner that meets the needs for the ages and abilities of all participating students.
Always actively supervise and ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children
Manage a busy classroom environment, and provide the structure and discipline required for successful learning for everyone in the classroom.
Be alert to the needs and/or problems of the children as individuals and as a group.
Handle discipline promptly and in accordance with stated policy on discipline.
Prepare weekly lessons that meet educational requirements in an age-appropriate manner
Help children meet educational milestones through personalized instruction and other supplementary assistance.
Implement the daily program schedule using best practices and age appropriate decisions.
Conduct individual conferences with parents of each child.
Provide helpful feedback to parents and guardians on a regular or as-needed basis.
Work with diverse populations of children and adults
Collaborate with other teachers, instructors, and staff members to create an optimal learning and care environment.
Embrace our philosophy, teaching style, and behavior management techniques
Keep the Director informed in advance of program needs.
Report to the Director any special needs or problems of individual children and/or families.
Report any cases of suspected child abuse or neglect.
Attend training, workshops, and/ or seminars to meet state requirements per year.
Attend regular staff planning and evaluation meetings.
Arrive for work and meetings prepared and on time
Decorate the room with bulletin boards, pictures, children’s artwork, and other hangings.
Keep classroom, storage rooms and bathrooms neat, clean, and orderly.
Be familiar with and follow all center policies.
Adhere to all rules and regulations administered by the State of Colorado, Colorado Health Department, and the local Police/Fire Department
Other duties as assigned.
Maintain a polite attitude towards parents, children, and co-workers
Daily sanitizing of all toys, diaper changing areas, food prep areas and classroom equipment
Be aware at all times of the numbers of children in their care
Keep ProCare updated with pictures, activities, messages to parents, and anything else needed
Use curriculum to enhance the children's learnings, as well as add any other beneficial activities to the day
Adhere to all rules and regulations administered by the State of Colorado, Colorado Health Department, and the local Police/Fire Department

Qualifications/ Requirements:

18 years or older
High school diploma or equivalent
Pass a background check and health assessment
ECT qualified for the state of Colorado
Flexible Availability (7:30-5:30)
AA or BA in early childhood education or related field (preferred)
CPR and First Aid certification (within 30 days or hire)
Medical Administration certification (within 30 days of hire)
Immunization Certification (within 30 days of hire)
Willingness to participate in ongoing early childhood training/educational courses
Willingness to work in other age groups when necessary

Work Remotely
