Part-Time | SoaringBird
About SoaringBird
SoaringBird is building a mission-driven personal-development brand around the ideas, stories, and life philosophy of author and entrepreneur Arvid Albanese. With the forthcoming book Your Opportunity Zones as a foundation, SoaringBird is developing an expanding platform designed to help people recognize opportunity, strengthen their thinking, and create meaningful changes in their lives.
We are looking for a creative, resourceful Social Media & Content Coordinator who can help translate those ideas into compelling, platform-native content and build an engaged audience around Arvid and the SoaringBird mission.
This is a hands-on content role. The right person will enjoy turning stories, photographs, video, book concepts, quotes, and ideas into polished social content while working within an established brand and editorial strategy.
What You’ll Do
Create Social Content
- Develop engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other appropriate platforms.
- Transform Arvid’s stories, book concepts, photographs, interviews, appearances, and behind-the-scenes material into social-first content.
- Create and adapt graphics using established SoaringBird brand templates.
- Produce and edit short-form videos, including Reels, Shorts, and other vertical-video formats.
- Develop carousels, quote graphics, photo-story posts, educational posts, and other recurring content formats.
- Identify opportunities to repurpose existing content across multiple platforms and formats.
Write and Publish
- Draft captions, headlines, hooks, calls to action, and supporting copy consistent with Arvid’s voice and the SoaringBird brand.
- Adapt content appropriately for different platforms rather than simply posting identical material everywhere.
- Prepare and schedule approved content using the organization’s social media management platform.
- Maintain consistent posting cadence according to the approved content calendar.
Support Audience Growth and Engagement
- Monitor comments, messages, mentions, and other audience interactions.
- Respond to routine audience engagement according to established brand guidelines and escalate sensitive or substantive questions when appropriate.
- Identify audience questions, reactions, and conversations that could inspire future content.
- Stay aware of relevant platform trends, formats, features, and emerging content opportunities.
Measure and Learn
- Track basic performance metrics, including reach, engagement, follower growth, video performance, saves, shares, and other agreed-upon KPIs.
- Prepare a concise monthly performance summary showing what content is working, what is not, and what should be tested next.
- Use performance data to recommend practical adjustments to content format, frequency, timing, and platform strategy.
Collaborate With the SoaringBird Team
The Social Media & Content Coordinator will work closely with:
- the Director of Content & Brand Strategy, who establishes editorial strategy, messaging, voice, and content priorities;
- the Brand & Content Operations Coordinator, who manages the content calendar, assets, assignments, approvals, and workflow;
- outside creative, PR, and digital partners as needed; and
- Arvid Albanese, whose ideas, stories, experiences, and voice are at the center of the brand.
What This Role Is — and Is Not
This role is primarily responsible for social-media content creation and execution.
It is not expected to independently define the SoaringBird brand, develop the organization’s entire marketing strategy, serve as its publicist, manage its educational-platform development, or act as a professional influencer.
Higher-level brand strategy, major campaign creative, PR/media relations, and digital-product strategy are handled by other members of the SoaringBird team and outside specialists.
What We’re Looking For
- Approximately 2–4 years of hands-on experience creating content for social media, whether in-house, at an agency, or as a freelancer.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating social graphics, short-form video, captions, and/or platform-specific content.
- Strong writing instincts and an ability to capture another person’s voice.
- Demonstrated ability to turn ideas and raw materials into compelling visual and written content.
- Proficiency with Canva and familiarity with short-form video-editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Express, Canva Video, or comparable platforms.
- Familiarity with social scheduling, publishing, and analytics tools.
- Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and evolving social-media formats.
- Excellent organizational skills, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to accept editorial direction, collaborate with a team, and work within an established brand system.
- Curiosity about personal development, entrepreneurship, storytelling, education, or mission-driven work.
Helpful, but Not Required
- Photography or videography experience.
- Experience covering live events or capturing behind-the-scenes social content.
- Experience with book launches, authors, speakers, founders, nonprofits, education, or personal-development brands.
- Adobe Creative Suite skills.
- Experience with paid social campaigns.
- Experience managing online communities.
The Person We Think Will Thrive Here
You probably have a strong visual instinct and naturally notice what makes people stop scrolling.
You understand that good social content is not simply attractive, it tells a story, creates curiosity, teaches something, or makes someone feel something.
You are equally comfortable starting with a polished campaign template or with a folder containing an old photograph, an interview clip, and a story that needs to be discovered.
You are creative without needing complete creative freedom, organized without being rigid, and comfortable receiving editorial feedback.
Most importantly, you care about making meaningful ideas accessible to people.
Schedule
Part-time: approximately 8–12 hours per week initially, with the potential for additional hours as SoaringBird approaches major launches, campaigns, and events.
The precise schedule and work arrangement can be determined based on organizational needs and the successful candidate.

- your résumé;
- a link to your portfolio or examples of social-media work;

Selected candidates may be invited to complete a small paid creative exercise using SoaringBird source material so that both sides can evaluate fit, creative instincts, and working style.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
