Full Job Description

Prominent Club and real estate investment and development company in Port St Lucie, FL is recruiting a Junior Accountant. The ideal candidate will be part of a team that works on the day-to-day, monthly and quarterly club property accounting and reporting for a Golf and Social Club and commercial property portfolio and will work directly with the Club Controller and Corporate Controller.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage AP process – invoice entry, and payment processing
Code invoices to the appropriate account
Ensure AP policies and procedures comply with company guidelines
Manage vendor relationships and routinely communicate with vendors
Identify, research, and resolve invoice discrepancies
Maintain vendor files
Process check requests and other electronic payments
Review and process credit card bills
Review and enter expenses for employees and staff
Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
Respond to all vendor inquiries
Prepare Member due billings and Tenant Rent Billings.
Respond to billing/lease inquiries from members and tenants.
Contact tenants regarding open items and non-payment of rent.
Review and post receipts.
Prepare reporting for arrears meetings.
Assist Accounting team with monthly closing reports
Candidate will also be responsible for administrative tasks including, but not limited to: Filing, Answering/screening phone calls, Faxing, scanning & copying
Special projects as required

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or Associate’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. Experience, particularly with Member / private club accounting, is preferred but not required.
Ability to manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word & Outlook
Accounting software experience a plus (i.e. Jonas, Yardi, MRI, Timberline, QuickBooks etc.)
Excellent communication and organizational skills

Salary will be commensurate with experience and education background.
