Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Concrete Pump Dispatcher to coordinate the efficient operation of concrete pumping services. In this vital role, you will manage the scheduling and dispatching of concrete pump trucks, ensuring timely delivery and optimal utilization of resources. Your expertise in transportation planning, logistics, and communication will drive smooth operations, enhance customer satisfaction, and support the overall success of our construction projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of dynamic construction environments, ensuring that every pour is executed seamlessly.

Duties

Coordinate and schedule concrete pump truck dispatches using vehicle dispatch software and transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine.
Communicate with drivers, project managers, and clients via multi-line phone systems and internal communication channels to relay instructions, updates, and address inquiries.
Monitor GPS and GIS data to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and ensure adherence to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
Manage freight and shipping & receiving schedules to guarantee timely delivery of materials while maintaining compliance with safety standards.
Enter data accurately into logistics systems, update dispatch logs, and maintain detailed records for reporting and analysis purposes.
Collaborate with supply chain teams to coordinate logistics related to 3PL providers, fleet management, and road transportation operations.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client needs promptly, managing phone etiquette professionally, and resolving issues efficiently.

Qualifications

Proven experience in dispatching within transportation planning or logistics environments; familiarity with road transportation operations is preferred.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively across multiple platforms such as Oracle Transportation Management, SyteLine, AS400, and Vehicle Dispatch Software.
Excellent communication skills for phone call management, internal communication, and customer service interactions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel for data entry and analysis tasks.
Knowledge of GIS, GPS technology, freight management, shipping & receiving procedures, and DOT regulations.
Ability to analyze logistical data for efficient dispatching decisions; strong analysis skills are essential.
Familiarity with fleet management systems, transportation management systems (TMS), vehicle dispatch software, and logistics processes such as supply chain coordination.
High attention to detail with strong typing skills for accurate record keeping; experience with multi-line phone systems is a plus.
