Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented MANAGER-RISK MANGER to lead our risk management initiatives across various insurance domains. This pivotal role involves overseeing risk assessment, underwriting, claims processing, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance to safeguard the organization’s assets and reputation. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of commercial insurance, workers' compensation, liability, property, and casualty insurance, along with strong analytical and negotiation skills. As a key leader within our team, you will drive strategies to mitigate risks while ensuring exceptional service delivery and adherence to industry standards.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies aligned with organizational goals, focusing on underwriting standards and loss prevention.
Oversee the handling of high-value insurance claims, ensuring accurate claims adjustment, liability assessment, and compliance with insurance regulations.
Lead negotiations for complex claims settlements, ensuring favorable outcomes while maintaining positive relationships with clients and insurers.
Conduct thorough risk analysis by evaluating policy interpretations, insurance law implications, and regulatory requirements to inform decision-making processes.
Manage teams responsible for claims processing, fraud detection, auto estimating, property inspections, and workers' compensation claims to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate with underwriters to assess risk exposure and develop policies that balance coverage needs with risk mitigation strategies.
Monitor industry trends such as changes in insurance regulation, medical coding standards (ICD-10/ICD-9), and emerging risks like water damage restoration or mold remediation to adapt practices proactively.

Requirements

Proven experience in insurance claims adjusting, risk analysis, underwriting, or claims negotiation within commercial or casualty insurance sectors.
Strong knowledge of insurance law, policy interpretation, regulatory compliance in claims processing, and workers' compensation insurance regulations.
Demonstrated expertise in handling complex property and liability insurance claims, including high-value cases involving medical documentation or auto body repair.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple teams involved in insurance verification, fraud prevention/detection, legal litigation support, and service writing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial software applications used for claims management and analysis.
Effective negotiation skills coupled with a deep understanding of insurance regulation and litigation processes related to claims disputes.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret technical data such as CPT coding or ICD coding for medical billing or medical records review when applicable.
