Full Job Description

We are seeking a Business Analyst, Operations Reporting to lead the analysis and strategy behind an operational Tableau reporting environment.

This newly created position sits within the operations team and serves as the primary liaison between operational end-users and the internal reporting team. The Tableau environment, existing reporting suite, and dedicated reporting resources are already established. This role provides the analytical ownership that connects them: identifying business needs, assessing the current reporting portfolio, and defining the requirements that drive future development.

This is a business analyst position. Tableau proficiency is required to evaluate the existing suite and assess development feasibility; dashboard development is handled by the reporting team.

Responsibilities

Partner with operations stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize reporting requirements
Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the existing Tableau reporting suite to identify gaps, redundancies, and underutilized assets
Analyze operational data to surface trends, anomalies, and actionable business insights
Translate business requirements into clear, complete functional specifications for the reporting team
Collaborate with the reporting team throughout the development lifecycle, validating outputs and confirming delivered reports address the underlying business need
Proactively identify and recommend new reporting opportunities based on operational analysis and stakeholder engagement
Support end-user adoption and training for new and revised dashboards

Qualifications

Required:

2 to 4 years of experience as a business analyst, reporting analyst, data analyst, or in a comparable stakeholder-facing analytical role
Working proficiency in Tableau, sufficient to navigate, evaluate, and interpret existing dashboards and assess development feasibility
Demonstrated experience gathering requirements from business stakeholders and translating them into documented specifications
Strong analytical skills and demonstrated comfort working with operational datasets
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

Preferred:

SQL proficiency sufficient to independently query and validate data
Background in healthcare, insurance, revenue cycle, or payment integrity
Prior experience supporting a business intelligence or reporting function in a stakeholder-facing capacity
Exposure to process improvement or operational efficiency initiatives

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
