Maintenance DirectorFull-Time | Sequoia Springs Assisted Living & Memory Care | Fortuna, CA

Salary: $48,464–$54,704 per year (Based on experience)

Sequoia Springs Assisted Living & Memory Care is seeking an experienced Maintenance Director to oversee the maintenance, safety, and appearance of our senior living community.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who takes pride in their work, is highly organized, and enjoys solving problems. Our ideal candidate is dependable, knowledgeable in building maintenance, and committed to providing a safe, comfortable home for our residents.

What You'll Do

As our Maintenance Director, you will:

Oversee all maintenance operations for the community.
Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment, and grounds.
Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, doors, locks, appliances, and other building systems.
Coordinate and oversee outside vendors and contractors.
Maintain a safe, clean, and attractive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
Conduct regular building inspections and identify safety concerns.
Ensure compliance with California Title 22 regulations, OSHA standards, fire and life safety requirements, and local building codes.
Maintain emergency equipment, including generators, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, exit doors, and other life safety systems.
Keep accurate maintenance logs, preventative maintenance schedules, and work order documentation.
Assist with apartment turns and move-in readiness.
Participate in emergency preparedness activities, drills, and after-hours emergency response when needed.

QualificationsRequired

Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in senior living, healthcare, hotels, apartment communities, or commercial facilities.
Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, carpentry, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment.
Valid California Driver License with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical work, including climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and working indoors and outdoors.

Preferred

Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
Experience with RCFE communities or healthcare facilities.
Knowledge of California Title 22 regulations and Life Safety Code requirements.
