Full Job Description

Class A Office Building Janitorial Supervisor Needed

Monday- Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM (some weekends required)

The Night Janitorial Supervisor will work closely with the Janitorial Manager and Maintenance Manager to supervise and lead housekeeping staff to meet the highest standards of cleanliness for a Class A outdoor lifestyle center requiring office cleaning. This position requires a professional demeanor and appearance, excellent bi-lingual communication, and customer service skills. This position oversees any combination of cleaning duties and staff to maintain a large outdoor shopping center with office buildings, in a clean and orderly manner.

Duties:

Must be able to get dirty and work with team to complete cleaning objectives
Train New Hires
Establish and maintain housekeeping schedules and assign employees to areas of various housekeeping duties; conduct comprehensive inspection to check the completion of work assignments.
Ensure assignments are appropriately staffed and employees have adequate supplies and equipment for completion of assignments.
Conducts inventory and notifies Manager of needed supplies for orders.
Monitor and ensure positive communication and training of new personnel.
Conducts daily walkthroughs of facility and outer perimeter.
Actively communicates with Maintenance Manager to report any maintenance needs.
Other tasks as assigned by Janitorial Manager and Maintenance Manager.

Skills/Requirements:

Team oriented attitude with ability to work hands on with staff when necessary
Lead and motivate staff to preform individually and as a team
Must have 3-5 years of custodial/housekeeping supervisor experience in a Class A property environment
Flexible schedule. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills-Bilingual required Spanish/English
Understand how to use computers and a smartphone
Ability to effectively manage time and coordinate work function with co-workers
Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards for housekeeping and outdoor maintenance
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs
Ability to stand, crouch and walk for long periods of time outdoors
Exposed to outdoor environment with excessive temperatures, physical labor and standing for long periods of time

Work Environment:

Exposed to outdoor environment with excessive heat and cold, physical labor, and standing for long periods of time.

Compensation depends on experience.
