The Job Description

As the Bookkeeper, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the accounting department within Jack and Sage. You will report to the Financial Controller and focus on maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of Jack and Sage. You will be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliations, and other bookkeeping activities.

Key Responsibilities

Transactional Accounting

Maintain accurate and up to date financial transaction data within Jack and Sage’s ERP.
Complete monthly reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.

Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable

Record customer invoices and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable balances to support timely collections.
Input vendor bills and maintain accurate accounts payable records to support timely and accurate payments.
Prepare and process vendor payments for materials, services, and other company expenses.

Month-End Accounting

Assist with the monthly close process by ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and accounts are reconciled timely.
Prepare basic financial reports and supporting schedules and provide accurate information to the Financial Controller.

Commission Processing

Process commission payments on a monthly basis to ensure all contractors of Jack and Sage are paid timely and accurately.
Create journal entries and reconcile payroll-related accounts based on payroll records.

The Job’s Qualifications & Requirements

Required

Great attitude, team player
2+ years of full-time bookkeeping or accounting experience
Problem solving mindset
Exceptional attention to detail and organization
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and account reconciliations
Organizational mindset
Denver, CO based– we are currently not considering candidates re-locating

Strongly Preferred

Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Experience with ERP systems
