Full Job Description

Job description:

We are looking for a skilled, full-charge contract Bookkeeper to oversee our financial operations using QuickBooks Desktop. We operate a high-quality Mediterranean food production facility in Boulder, Colorado (not associated with the restaurant) . This is a permanent contract position requiring 12 hours of weekly in-office work on a flexible schedule.

This role will work in-person at our Boulder office across 2 days each week between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM. No weekend schedules and no remote work is allowed.

Responsibilities

Cash Management: Process incoming check and ACH payments accurately.
Accounts Receivable: Reconcile client invoices, adjust for customer discounts, and analyze AR aging reports alongside the Office Manager.
Accounts Payable: Handle vendor payments and manage weekly Colorado state tax deposits.
Year-End Prep: Organize tax documentation and execute final fiscal year-end payments.
Payroll Processing: Review bi-weekly timecards, resolve errors, and issue both physical checks and direct deposits for staff and contractors.
Reporting & Strategy: Generate custom QuickBooks reports and collaborate with the Owner and Office Manager on financial projects.

Position Requirements

Software Expertise: Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience specifically with QuickBooks Desktop and its native Payroll functionality (QuickBooks Online experience will not apply).
Vetting: Must pass a background check and provide professional references.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience managing office workflows for a food manufacturing plant or grocery business.
Familiarity with digital timeclock systems.

Pay: $37.50 - $40.00 per hour
