Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Executive Pastry Chef to lead our pastry and dessert operations with passion and precision. Duties

Lead the planning, development, and execution of all pastry menus, ensuring consistency and creativity in every item
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, baking, cake decorating, and food handling to maintain efficiency and quality standards
Manage high-volume production of baked goods and desserts while adhering to food safety regulations and sanitation protocols
Supervise and mentor pastry staff, fostering a collaborative environment focused on skill development and culinary excellence
Ensure proper packaging of baked goods for retail or catering purposes, maintaining presentation standards and freshness
Collaborate with culinary management to develop new recipes, seasonal offerings, and catering menus that excite our guests
Maintain inventory control by monitoring ingredient levels, ordering supplies as needed, and minimizing waste through effective food production practices
Uphold rigorous food safety management practices across all pastry operations to ensure compliance with health regulations

Requirements

Proven experience in pastry arts with a strong background in baking, cake decorating, and food preparation within a high-volume food industry environment
Extensive culinary experience with a focus on baked goods, desserts, and confectionery items
Demonstrated leadership skills in managing kitchen teams in fast-paced restaurant or catering settings
Excellent knife skills combined with proficiency in food handling techniques to ensure quality output
Knowledge of packaging processes for baked goods suitable for retail or catering distribution
Strong understanding of food safety standards and food safety management systems
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and presentation quality
Exceptional customer service skills to ensure guest satisfaction through culinary excellence
