Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Injection Mold Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team in a second shift position. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic components. Your expertise will ensure efficient production processes, adherence to safety standards, and consistent product quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative manufacturing projects within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and monitor injection molding machines to produce plastic parts according to specifications
Conduct routine inspections of molds and machinery to identify and troubleshoot issues promptly
Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure parts meet quality standards
Maintain accurate production records, including cycle times, defect reports, and machine logs
Assist in materials handling, including loading raw materials and removing finished products using forklifts or hand tools
Conduct basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal operation
Support continuous improvement initiatives by adhering to lean manufacturing principles and suggesting process enhancements

Requirements

Proven experience operating plastics injection molding machines or in a related manufacturing role
Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring instruments for quality inspection and assembly tasks
Warehouse experience including materials handling with forklifts is preferred
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing practices and safety protocols in a manufacturing environment
